I always get seen quickly right at my appointment time with no long waits. A huge shoutout to Bobby, the hygienist, who always does an amazing job with my cleanings. He is thorough, gentle, and professional. Great experience every time!

I cannot recommend this practice enough, this is now my 3rd time here, and they consistently exceed my expectations.
Dr. Okefe provided incredibly gentle and painless service, which instantly put me at ease. Bobby was very attentive and knowledgeable, and Maria, the assistant, was equally amazing. The entire team was incredibly professional. They had answers for any questions I had, and our conversations were all so smooth. They truly made me feel confident to ask anything without hesitation.
the front desk staff are always friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk through the door. This entire collection of staff is truly the nicest group I’ve ever experienced in any medical setting.

I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but this experience warrants one.
My initial visit in August was for an exam, and I was told my next appointment would be for a cleaning. After the office rescheduled me twice, I finally came in only to find I had been incorrectly booked for another exam. At no point did I request this. When I questioned it, the receptionist deflected responsibility and implied the mistake was mine.
I was then told I would need to pay a significant amount and still wouldn’t receive the cleaning I came in for—something that had never been explained previously, either in person or over the phone. When I asked for clarification, I was met with a dismissive attitude and increasingly rude responses.
What stood out most was the complete lack of accountability and customer care. There was no apology for the scheduling error, no effort to fix it, and no attempt to offer any reasonable solution. Instead, I was repeatedly given the same unhelpful response.
After taking time off, arranging childcare, and making the trip, this was a frustrating and avoidable situation. I canceled my appointment and will not be returning.

I feel a bit conflicted writing this review because there’s a lot this dental office does really well. I’ve been coming here for almost 5 years, and the front desk staff has always been friendly and welcoming. The providers are professional, knowledgeable, and reliable—they take great care of you while you’re in the chair and make you feel comfortable throughout your visit.
That said, scheduling has become a significant challenge. It feels like the office has taken on more patients than they can realistically accommodate. Appointments are often booked 8–9 months out. For example, when I left my visit in November, the next available cleaning and check-up wasn’t until 9 months later.
There have also been times when appointments were canceled and the soonest reschedule option was 6 months out. At that point, it becomes difficult to stay consistent with routine care. No matter how great the experience is during the visit, not being able to access care in a reasonable timeframe makes it hard to rely on the practice.
Because of this, I ultimately made the difficult decision to switch to a different dental office so I can receive more timely care. I truly value the quality of care here and hope the office is able to improve scheduling and availability for their patients.

Downey Promenade Dental Group is a great spot for dental care. The office is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff provide excellent service. Everyone was professional, helpful, and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. The location is also super convenient with plenty of parking and easy access. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality dental care in the area!
