We visited Gaucho yesterday for the first time in a couple years, and it saddens me to say it hasn’t aged well. Sure, it’s bigger now, with a bakery/cafe and live viewing/music area, and the food is still great, but the service is unimpressive. I booked our reservation online, made a note about allergens and how we were celebrating a birthday and a wedding anniversary, and was looking forward to…well, something. What we got was nothing special at all. No acknowledgement whatsoever. I know they saw my notes because our server already knew about our allergens for the table. So that was a big letdown. At least the food was delicious and they were on top of the allergen list. However, several small slips here and there throughout the meal just brought the experience down. Inattentive staff on a slow night (there were a lot of empty tables) is just weak at best. I asked for a beer for my appetizer (mollejas) and a glass of wine for my dinner, however, I made the mistake of ordering them at the same time, because despite me telling our server specifically which one for dinner and which one to start, I got them at the exact same time. They also arrived long before the appetizer which arrived with our dinners. We had to flag down someone to ask for more chimichurri which should be a crime in an Argentine steakhouse. My wife’s family is from Argentina, and we used to take them here for many special occasions, but I don’t think we’ll be going back. The food may be good, but even though the staff was friendly, they just made us feel like it didn’t matter to them if we were there or not.

Very disappointing experience, especially considering how expensive this restaurant is.
We went out to eat as a family and unfortunately were unable to enjoy our meal. We ordered a well-done tomahawk steak, but it arrived dripping with blood. The waiter offered to take it back to the chef, but at that point we were already frustrated and planned to take it home and finish cooking it ourselves.
We also ordered a half rack, and the chicken was undercooked with blood near the bone. Several of the meats were overcooked and so tough that they were difficult to cut and chew. The paella was inconsistent—one shrimp was soft while another was hard and overcooked. The cannelloni was by far the worst dish; it was dry, burnt around the edges, and tasted as though it had been overheated in a microwave.
To be fair, some of the meat had good flavor, although certain parts were excessively salty. The rice in the paella was also tasty. However, when you’re served poorly prepared seafood and multiple dishes have obvious issues, it’s hard to enjoy the meal.
For a restaurant charging premium prices, customers should expect much better quality, consistency, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations, and I cannot recommend it based on our visit.

Valerie was a wonderful attentive bar tender. the food and atmosphere was both welcoming and elegant. I came at happy hour so my pockets wasn’t hurting after. the oils that come with the bread are amazing 😍 … I would definitely say come here and grab something to drink andor eat

This place was okay, I was expecting something different, not traditional bbq. The bread with olive e oil was good, and the meats were good too but I could have made all this at home and paid 1/4 the price. Tasted like a regular Mexican bbq from home. The empanada was good but not worth $6, and didn’t taste any different than a regular empanadas The drinks were way over priced and the mashed potatoes were bland. Our chicken was undercooked, so they did get us a new piece. Wouldn’t come back again, wasn’t really a fan.

I recently dined at Gaucho Grill with a group of six, and unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the hype.

The steaks were overcooked and lacked the quality you’d expect from a restaurant known for its meat. The burger was also disappointing—very dry and not particularly flavorful. The only standout dish of the night was the mac and cheese, which was actually well done.

Service was another letdown. Our server wasn’t very attentive, and overall the experience felt below average. To make matters worse, an automatic gratuity was already included in the bill, bringing our total to $680 for six people. Given the level of food and service, the cost felt excessive and unjustified.

Overall, this place feels overrated. For the price you’re paying, you’d expect much better food and service. I wouldn’t return based on this experience.
